Hotel and restaurant planned for Park of KeirPark of Keir partners – Judy Murray, mother of Andy Murray, and golfer Colin Montgomerie with King Group – have registered the planning application for the development of a purpose built grassroots-focused tennis and golf centre at Park of Keir between Dunblane and Bridge of Allan near Stirling.

Café restaurant and hotel

This once in a lifetime development opportunity comprises six indoor and six outdoor tennis courts, a six-hole golf course with practice range, mini golf, a 3G multi-sport all weather pitch along with changing facilities, coaching suites, and café restaurant. A hotel is also planned to reflect Stirling’s growing importance in tourism and sport. Park of Keir is estimated to create around 170 additional jobs for the local area and it is anticipated that an annual GVA of around £10 million per annum will be injected into the regional economy.

The plans were submitted to Stirling Council after a series of consultation events with local members of the public, which gave key stakeholders the opportunity to view the proposals and discuss the development with the Park of Keir partners.

The partners have also listened to concern over the proposed housing development, which sits alongside the Park of Keir tennis and golf facilities and is an essential part of the development, to ensure that the centre is built debt-free.

The centre at Park of Keir would be a destination for families to play together and is planned to provide other leisure facilities such as a children’s adventure park, woodland walks and mountain bike trails, all geared to encouraging people to enjoy active sport.
