Travelodge has selected blowUP media’s Giant Poster site at Leith Walk in Edinburgh for the latest stage of its new brand re-launch campaign titled ‘Get Up & Go’ – which is designed to inspire Britons to get up & go, and explore Britain.
In addition, the campaign also marks the company’s first steps in building a new Travelodge brand that will become Britain’s favourite hotel chain for value.
Planned to match the start of the Edinburgh Festival, the 200sqm poster sited on one wall of the St James retail centre proclaims: “Rise and Shine, Edinburgh”.
The site is on the busiest commuter route in Edinburgh and, during the day and evening, there is a mass mixed audience enjoying the great facilities at the site. Total footfall for the campaign will be 600,000.
Travelodge has selected Giant Posters across major cities throughout the summer as part of its campaign to inspire Britain to get up and go with Travelodge. The company is also further extending its network this year with 15 new hotels expected to open in city centre and key holiday locations during 2014.
Initiative Business Director Tania Harwood commented: “In big cities, where competition is fierce, we wanted Travelodge to dominate the line of sight for people entering the city; Travelodge becomes an unofficial sponsor of the city and the good times it offers. blowUP’s Giant Posters were perfect for achieving this goal.”
