Galgorm Resort & Spa is one of Ireland’s premier four star Resort destinations. Located just 30 minutes from both Belfast airports, there is no better venue to showcase all that Northern Ireland’s breath taking countryside has to offer.
With its award winning World Class Spa and superb choice of dining facilities, renowned hospitality as well as complimentary WiFi throughout and ample free onsite parking, Galgorm Resort & Spa is Ireland’s first choice to combine business with pleasure.
With exceptional facilities comes an exceptional events team. The department recently took home from the 22nd Northern Ireland Institute of Hospitality Awards, two fantastic accolades. Huge congratulations must go to Business Development Manager, Leigh Heggarty who won ‘Business Development Management of the Year’ and also to, Lynsey Gordon who won ‘Front Office Manager of the Year’.
The Institute of Hospitality (IOH) Awards for Professionalism aim to reward and recognise those hard working managers who have demonstrated significant achievement in the hospitality and tourism sector.
Galgorm Resort & Spa which sits on the banks of the River Maine, continues to invest in and focus on their conference offering and lately expand the team still further, as they welcome two recent appointments: Events Executive, Kerry Hogarth (below left) and Events Co-ordinator, Lydia Hemphill.
Kerry is responsible for selling the Resort into clients as well as coordinating the in-depth planning process for the many meetings, conferences and private events which the resort regularly holds. A fantastic addition to the team, Kerry proved she is completely unflappable during a past responsibility when she was named Deputy Venue Controller at the World Police and Fire Games during 2013. A huge event for the country, as 7,000 competitors from 67 countries played in Belfast. An accolade received just this year, was the prestigious Tourism NI Event Management Award, awarded to her by Ulster University.
Another welcome addition to the team, is that of Lydia Hemphill as Events Co-ordinator. Lydia is proving indispensable in her support of the Events Team. Whereby she assists with the planning and coordination of regular events such as: school formals, meetings, private dinners, functions and conferences. Although a well-travelled individual, Galgorm is a ‘home from home’ for Lydia, as she interned at the luxury resort for over a year, whilst studying at the University of Ulster.
The Resort which sits within 163 acres of pretty parkland, offers an array of meeting spaces which can cater for all business events. Whether it is a critical board meeting requiring absolute discretion, an annual conference for 250 delegates, a glittering Champagne reception or a get-together for just 20 trusted partners, Galgorm Resort & Spa can offer the perfect function room.
The Great Hall
Separate to the main hotel and with a stunning waterfall as a backdrop, the Great Hall oozes charm and sophistication. With lavish décor, antique Waterford crystal chandeliers and luxury furnishings, an ambiance of pure indulgence is created. The Great Hall is a magnificent venue with just the right combination of grandeur and warmth and is perfect for exhibitions, conferences and product launches.
The Renaissance Suite
This latest addition which recently reopened after an extensive £1.5million renovation, offers a truly breath-taking setting. The Suite is finished in a classic style with a contemporary edge, featuring bespoke Italian leather and ebony chairs that combine to create a truly chic finish. A state of the art lighting system allows a tailored ambience to the room with the colour theme for the corporate event.
Four Seasons Suite
The Suite features its own private entrance; a sleek reception and breakout area, leading through to the exquisite main function room which merges classical lines with a contemporary design. Outside is a private formal garden complete with breath taking bespoke water feature. A particularly inspiring space, The Four Seasons Suite is perfect for exhibitions, informal meetings and intimate business dinners and parties.
Drawing Room

The Resort has 122 bedrooms including junior suites, deluxe, superior and standard rooms. The latter are housed in the original building and are decorated in a traditional style while the remaining rooms are more contemporary in feel, yet sublimely luxurious. Further accommodation in the form of log cabins and cottages are set in the grounds and are ideal for groups.
The perfect place for delegates to relax and unwind after an event is in one of x 11 treatment rooms within The Spa at Galgorm. Its idyllic woodland location along the River Maine, inspired the resort to create a space where indoors meets outdoors. Opened during September 2015, the multi award winning Thermal Spa Village offers the chance to experience the ancient rituals of bathing in cold, cool, warm and hot environments to aid detoxification, purification and relaxation. Access to these areas is included in the residential delegate rates, offering the opportunity to experience the following facilities; infinity hydrotherapy pool, heated cabins, ice fountain, experience shower, outdoor Jacuzzi pool and hot-tub etc.
The Group Treatment Suite at the Spa at Galgorm offers a one of a kind private treatment spa experience for groups of five or more. Bespoke packages are available to meet a group’s specific objectives and requirements.
