Park Regis has joined forces with the world-renowned City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) in a 12-month commercial agreement to become its exclusive hotel partner.
The partnership will see Park Regis provide valuable support to the CBSO by hosting a series of corporate and pre-concert events, as well as providing hotel clients with opportunities to enjoy the CBSO in action at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
Robin Ford, general manager at Park Regis Birmingham, said: “The CBSO is one of the world’s greatest orchestras, and it’s based just a stone’s throw from our hotel. We share a similar ethos – to show that Birmingham is a global player with world-class talent – and as an international hospitality brand, associations with organisations such as CBSO are vital.
“With arts funding being cut by more than a quarter in the city in the last year, supporting an organisation that has such an important need for regional sponsorship is an honour and we’re delighted to be able to do so for the coming 12 months. We know that this relationship will bring with it many cultural and commercial opportunities.”
Stephen Maddock, CBSO Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to have Park Regis on board as our Official Hotel Partner. The hotel joins other businesses across the city which recognise the importance of art and culture to the local economy by providing vital support for us. Park Regis is a fantastic addition to Birmingham’s offer, and working together we will boost the city’s reputation as a great destination for visitors.”
