Corinthia Hotel London sponsored the prestigious Global Gift Foundation’s annual Gala (Saturday 19th November 2016) in the Corinthia Ballroom. Fronted by US actress and philanthropist Eva Longoria, it is the most high-profile event in the Foundation’s calendar.
Aligning with the London hotel’s festive theme of the magical ballet of Swan Lake, the hotel’s Christmas Tree morphed into the Global Gift Foundation Christmas Tree and launched the festive season at the hotel. The tree’s baubles are filled with white feathers and were signed by celebrity guests at the Gala, with their festive wish for 2016.
Guests included David & Victoria Beckham, Luke Evans, Craig David, Rebecca Ferguson, Gordon & Tana Ramsay, Alesha Dixon and Jack Whitehall.
Eva placed the first Christmas bauble on the tree, located in the lobby, together with Corinthia Hotel London’s General Manager, Thomas M. Fischer.
Corinthia also began a live online auction on Corinthia.com with the aim of raising £30,000 for the Global Gift Foundation. From 19th November 2016, guests can bid on an array of ten exceptional experiences which include a one-night stay in the hotel’s Royal Penthouse worth £18,000 per night; a couple’s spa experience at ESPA Life at Corinthia or a Champagne Afternoon Tea for 4 . The auction runs until 23rd December when the winners will be announced. Please visit corinthia.com/gala-auction.
The Global Gift Fund is a donor-advised fund service offered through the Renaissance Charitable Foundation and endorsed by the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Foundation. The Fund’s mission is “to encourage, enhance and support donors worldwide in fulfilling their charitable goals and dreams.”
