Christie + Co has announced the sale of the 17th century Grade II-listed Redesdale Arms Hotel in the historic Gloucestershire market town of Moreton-In-Marsh.
The Redesdale Arms operates as a highly profitable 34 bedroom AA 3* hotel catering to locals, corporate clients and those touring the Cotswolds. It occupies a prime trading position in the high-street, within walking distance of the main line railway station. The hotel comprises extensive bar and restaurant areas, and has the benefit of planning permission for three additional letting bedrooms.
The business Redesdale Arms Ltd was sold on behalf of its directors, who now wish to retire, in a share sale transaction. The property was marketed at £3,750,000.
The new owners are expanding hotel group Old Amersham Hotels, who acquired the property as an addition to their portfolio which includes the 34 bedroom Kings Arms Hotel & Kings Chapel wedding/function venue in Amersham, the 38 bedroom Crown Inn in Amersham, and the 12 bedroom Greyhound Inn, Chalfont St Peter.
