Dorsett Hospitality International has appointed Hilary Cross as the General Manager for the soon-to-open Dorsett Shepherds Bush, London.
Hilary has overall responsibility for the pre-opening activities, strategic business planning and the post opening hotel operations and performance.
Hilary holds a Higher National Diploma in Hotel Catering & Institutional Management from Brighton University, and has more than 24 years of experience in hotel management in the United Kingdom. She was most recently the General Manager for K West Hotel & Spa, London and had previously worked at St Martin’s Lane Hotel and Kensington Close Hotel in London.
“With her strong leadership background, extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry in the UK market, Hilary is most certainly a great addition to the group and is the ideal leader for our new flagship hotel in London,” said Winnie Chiu, President and Executive Director of Dorsett Hospitality International.

The 7-storey hotel is slated to open in the 1st quarter of 2014 and boasts modern architecture and design while retaining the building’s historic façade. Known as The Pavilion and listed as a Grade II building, the building has gone through a variety of guises since its construction in 1923 – having previously been a theatre, cinema and bingo hall.
Dorsett Shepherds Bush will have 317 rooms, designed and inspired by Dorsett International’s very own in-house design team and reflects the unique Dorsett elements of being modern, innovative and comfortable. Overlooking Shepherds Bush Green, other facilities available within the hotel include two restaurants, destination bar and a spa located under the landmark glass roof.
