Exclusive Hotels and Venues has commenced construction of ‘SEASON, The Exclusive Cookery School’, being developed at Lainston House, an Exclusive Hotel near Winchester, Hampshire.
The £1m project involves the re-development and extension of a beautiful wheelhouse barn featuring a Grade I Listed donkey water wheel within the 63-acre grounds of Lainston House, located directly opposite the 17th century country house hotel and adjacent to its extensive kitchen garden.
Masterclasses and bespoke events
Featuring a state-of-the-art kitchen academy with six cookery stations and a demo table ideal for theory and presentations, an impressive glass covered, 60m deep well will form the centre piece of the demonstration kitchen.
SEASON has been developed to accommodate a diverse range of masterclasses and bespoke events that showcase the talent of the Exclusive Chefs across the group including Olly Rouse, Matt Gillan, Michael Wignall, Richard Davies and Denis Drame. Highly regarded chefs and local suppliers from outside the business will also be utilising the space.
With the addition of a beautifully designed function room onsite, guests will be able to sample their creations and dine with participating chefs, offering a true plot to plate experience.
The Exclusive Chefs’ Academy
SEASON will also play home to the Exclusive Chefs’ Academy, launched by the brand in July 2014 with 13 aspiring chefs learning from the award-winning and Michelin-star chefs within the Exclusive portfolio of restaurants, developing home grown talent and creating future stars of the Exclusive Hotels and Venues family.

SEASON will offer leisure visitors seasonal masterclasses, day and evening cookery courses as well as residential gastronomical breaks. Business guests are also invited to utilise the facilities, with SEASON offering an ideal teambuilding or incentive solution for businesses looking to reward and inspire their teams or clients with a truly unique culinary experience.
Cookery School masterclasses will be available from £150 per person with overnight accommodation available to complement the cooking experience and will go on sale from spring 2015, with the cookery facility open for service from summer 2015.
