Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work ForBea Tollman’s Red Carnation Hotel Collection has been listed 2nd in this year’s Sunday Times Top 100 Mid Companies. It is the fourth time Red Carnation Hotels have been included in this prestigious list, having entered in 2012 at number 71, rose swiftly to 26 in 2013 and ranked number 8 last year.

This year, Red Carnation Hotels were also presented with another award for the Best Improver. The results of this esteemed and highly sought after recognition and accolade were announced at an award ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London last night.

The prestigious list is compiled annually and hundreds of companies apply from a huge cross section of industries in the UK. The final list was derived from a Sunday Times survey of employee opinion polls and an evaluation of each organisation’s key statistics, processes and policies.

Investing in the team

With 17 luxury boutique hotels in London, Dorset, Guernsey, Ireland, Geneva, South Africa and Florida, the family-run hotel group is the creation of Bea Tollman, Founder and President and European Hotelier of the Year in 2012. Mrs Tollman has created hotels with a British style and elegant decor that offer genuine hospitality and impeccable service.

Her on-going involvement with the front line of her hotels is an inspiration to each member of staff, and she places great importance in investing in the Collection’s team, providing them with the highest levels of training and nurturing development, to ensure employee satisfaction, engagement and a high retention of the team as a result.

Jonathan Raggett, Managing Director of Red Carnation Hotel Collection says;

“We are truly delighted to be recognised as Best Improver and to be ranked as overall number 2 in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For. We believe our service proposition is what sets us apart, that is our loyalty programme, and clearly it’s our people who deliver that. If they’re not happy or don’t have a clear vision of what the company stands for, it falls down.

“At Red Carnation Hotels, the care, passion and enthusiasm come from the top and we couldn’t hope for a more hands on, thoughtful, incredibly passionate and interested leader than Bea Tollman.  The collection is a reflection of her lifetime of dedication to offering the finest that a hotel can offer its guests, and its people.  The drive and inspiration for those of us involved in the business, comes from her.”
