Cheshire based the Nelson Hotel’s Group have ordered over 13,000 Christmas crackers to cope with a raft of Christmas bookings.
The firm which runs a number of hotels in Cheshire from the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa in Chester to the Fishpool Inn at Delamere among others have bought 13,075 crackers from suppliers ICS.
Boom-time for crackers sales
ICS, based in Liverpool, have seen a boom in Christmas crackers sales locally and look set to hit sales of 40,000 by the end of this week.
Lucy Nelson, sales and marketing director at the Nelson Hotel’s Group said: “Christmas is one of our busiest times and it’s our preferred suppliers like ICS that end up with some big festive orders on their books. Some people might think 12,000 crackers is a lot, but this year bookings for Christmas dinners and parties are extremely high across our hotel portfolio and we might potentially be having to put repeat orders on the crackers front before Christmas Day!”
Director of ICS, Matthew Dodgson said: “Christmas is always a busy season for the firm but this year we’ve seen the catering supplies side hit with record orders locally, our Christmas crackers by Duni are just one of the ranges where we’ve seen a huge spike in demand.”
